There is room for 80 people and it takes about 3 hours to get to Koh Mak. This boat takes you to Ao Nid pier on Koh Mak. The boat leaves Laem Ngop only on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 11:00 am and ticket costs 300 Bath per person. The boat returns to mainland at 8:00 am, every Monday and Friday. If you have a lot of time, this boat is a “classic”, you move slowly with the locals and all material what is needed on an island. If the waves are high, the wooden boat might be also a good option. There is a bath-room on the boat, but please bring your own drinks for the trip.

By Speed boat:
The Panan Speedboat leaves Leam Ngop pier at 12:30 and 16:00 and takes about 45 minutes to Koh Mak. During low season other schedules apply. The fare costs 450 Bath and takes you to Ao Soun Yai pier (Koh Mak Resort)
The speedboat returns to the mainland at 9.00 and 13.30 (last boat leaving the island).

With the Lelawadee Speedboat it takes about 50 minutes to get to Koh Mak. During high season the boat leaves daily from Laem Ngop at 10:30 and 14:00. The current rate is 450 Bath and takes you to Makathanee Resort (Ao Kao Beach). During low season other schedules apply.
This speedboat returns to Laem Ngop at 8.00 am and 12.00 noon.
Important: The last speedboat leaves at 16.00. When you miss this one, you have to sleep over in Trat or Koh Chang. Depending on the weather-condition, the speed-boats sometimes cannot operate. This happens 10-15 days a year. Bring raincoats and cover for your bags in the rainy-season.
If it rains, you will get wet! Another advice: Sitting in the back of the boat is more comfortable than in the front.
Most travellers and locals use this pier, it is more convenient and easier to reach.
