Koh Mak is situated in the center of the Koh Chang archipelago, about 15 kilometers south of Koh Chang and 10 kilometers north of Koh Kood. Koh Mak is connected to the mainland via a pier in Laem Ngop, south of Trat, operated by several speed boat companies. It is linked to the nearby islands Koh Kood, Koh Chang, and Koh Wai by speed and slow boats (October through May).
